Sainlia is an independent directory of consultants in private practice in the Republic of Ireland. It is free for GPs, hospital doctors and patients. Directory last rebuilt 6 Oct 2026.

Where the information comes from

• Public consultant listings on private hospital and clinic websites
• The Medical Council register, which we check by hand to confirm registration and specialty
• Consultants and their secretaries, who can correct their own profiles

Each profile shows when its fee and wait information was last updated. We flag anything older than four months and hide it after a year.

How results are ordered

Search results are ordered by relevance. Nobody can pay to rank higher.

For consultants

If you are listed, you can claim your profile to add fees, wait times and the conditions you treat, or ask us to correct or remove it. Use the form at the bottom of your profile and choose "I am this consultant". If you ask us to remove your profile, we keep only your name and registration number so you are not added again.
