Who we are

Sainlia is a free directory of consultants in private practice in Ireland, for GPs, hospital doctors and patients. The data controller is [Founder or company name], Ireland. Contact: hello@sainlia.ie.

If you are a consultant listed here

What we hold: your title, name, registered specialty, Medical Council registration number, practice locations and practice contact details (rooms phone, practice or secretary email, fax), the conditions you treat and, if you choose to give them, your fees and wait times.

Where it comes from: consultant listings on private hospital and clinic websites, your own practice website, the Medical Council's public register, and you. Each profile shows its sources and when it was last checked.

Why, and on what legal basis: to help referrers and patients find the right consultant. We rely on legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We hold only professional information and we never hold anything about patients.

Your choices: you can correct your profile, add fees and wait times, or have it removed at any time, no reason needed. Use the link in the email we sent you, the form at the bottom of your profile, or email us. If you ask for removal, we keep only your name and registration number so you aren't added again.

We email you once when you're first listed, to tell you about your profile. We don't send marketing emails without your permission.

If you use the site

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If you send a report through a profile's form, we keep your message, and your email address if you give one, until it's resolved. Please don't include patient information.

Who processes data for us

How long we keep it

Profiles are kept while the consultant is in private practice and hasn't asked for removal. Fees and wait times are flagged after four months and hidden after a year unless updated.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to the Data Protection Commission. Contact us first at hello@sainlia.ie and we'll respond within one month.
